Hijacked: An Eyewitness Account of Evil
Hijacked: An Eyewitness Account of Evil is Carole's personal account of a plane hijacking during her honeymoon 40 years ago. In September 1977, five members of the Japanese Red Army (JRA) commandeered the Paris-to-Tokyo DCF plane that had just departed Bombay, India. It was forced to make an emergency landing in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where the terrorists demanded $6 million in cash or each one of the 156 passengers and crew members would be executed. Americans were ordered to be the first killed.
The JRA was trained by the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), a terrorist group headed by Yasser Arafat. Arafat trained terrorist groups all over the world to hijack planes. The hijacking of Carole's plane in the fall of 1977 was simply another one.
Carole was compelled to write Hijacked: An Eyewitness Account of Evil to inform readers about past and present terrorist organizations. From the JRA and the PLO to today's ISIS, terrorism is a serious issue and one that Carole addresses in her new book.
